Gaynes Park is a Grade II* listed mansion set in a 33 acre park. The building and site had been derelict for a generation until the new owners invested substantially to create seven luxury flats and four new houses. We were appointed as interior designers for three of the flats. We carefully considered the layout of each property to allow them to be individually tailored to their location in the landscape, maximising the use of space and light.

Unit 2 is well mannered and serene. It is centred around a modern octagon and is cloistered. The style is quietly glamorous and features a dark stone floor with recessed skirting, allowing glass walls to ‘float’ along the corridors.

Unit 3 is a large duplex apartment with three generous bedrooms and bathrooms. A triple height entrance hall with a dramatic elliptical staircase welcomes you and creates a parkland lodge atmosphere, combining the rustic and modern.

Unit 4 has wide sweeping views over the landscape, which is why we designed a modern belvedere for moments of contemplation, study and relaxation, surrounded by an elegant palette of materials and a state of the art media system.
