For this multistorey car park, cedar wood panels form a striking cladding and the construction includes natural stone encased in galvanised mesh for support. The light sculpture, an ‘art for life’ installation by artist Peter Freeman is incorporated into the façade with coloured fluorescent fittings installed between the angled timber slats, creating a luminous woven texture.

The ramps and driving aisles are wide to improve circulation around the car park and wider than usual parking bays allow drivers to get in and out of cars more comfortably. It is a popular parking destination for visitors to the hospital providing a well lit, accessible and clean facility befitting a large regional hospital.
