This project reimagines the basement car parking storey at One Glass Wharf, a large commercial building in the heart of Bristol. The brief was to introduce as many secure cycle bays as possible but without losing any parking spaces.

We proposed removing just eight (20%) non-compliant Blue Badge spaces, leaving 30 still intact and taking less than 10% of the motorbike spaces to vastly increase bicycle storage. By using a semi vertical storage system, the new design now has some 250 bicycle storage spaces, almost three times as many as there are currently.  There are also power points for charging electric bikes, lockers and a much needed cycle repair station, while super graphics and bold colours provide clear wayfinding and designated zones.
